The Volup Minnow masterfully mimics the behavior of a baitfish under attack.

In a wacky rig setup, it twists and swims diagonally—perfectly imitating scenes like a baitfish "pecking along riprap or rocky banks" or "being chased and driven toward shore."

When used in a jighead rig for mid-strolling (Mid-St), it seamlessly transitions from a soft rolling action to an escape-style, side-to-side swim as you reel in.

Its rich, lifelike action convinces even cautious bass that it's the real deal.

■ Deep Ribs

Prominent ribs around the body enhance flexibility and water resistance.

They create a rolling action with natural body bend during Mid-St, and instantly shift into a fleeing swim motion with straight retrieve.

In a Neko rig, the soft body bends naturally and folds easily in the bass’s mouth, reducing the risk of missed hooksets—common in wacky-style rigging.

■ Slits

Extended slits on the back and belly (longer than the hook shank) soften the body from within.

The deeper belly slit adds subtle flashing for visual appeal.

■ Dorsal Fin

For wacky rigging, insert the hook from the side nub and out through the back—this is the optimal hook position.

Fixing the hook point into the dorsal fin ensures immediate lifelike movement and reduces tearing during action.

Salt content is precisely tuned to maintain horizontal posture during Mid-St while keeping a low center of gravity for stability:

Back: 5% salt for enhanced hook retention.

Belly: 10% salt with a soft material for better action.
